Oman offers the best of many worlds, and has become a popular destination in the Middle East. You can enjoy the laidback, yet modern feel of the country, along with its friendly people. You will find it highly diverse with a very distinct and obvious character unique to Oman.

Oman’s climate varies considerably with the different regions but sunny blue skies and warm temperature can be expected most of the years.

The summer months between April and September are hot and humid, reaching 48 degree Celsius during the day and 32 degree Celsius at night. Humidity can rise to an uncomfortable 90%. Winter is cool and pleasant. The best time to visit is between October and April when temperatures average between 25 degree Celsius and 35 degree Celsius during the day and about 18 degree Celsius at night.

Salalah, in the Southern region, lying on the edge of the Monsoon belt, greatly benefits from seasonal showers during the months of June to September, and hence, lush greenery abounds.

There are still countless reasons to visit Oman. Stunning and unspoiled landscapes, rich marine life, an ancient culture, the vast deserts, the rugged mountains, the numerous forts, the wildlife and, last but not least, the friendly and genuinely hospitable Omani people, are all the things that you will remember fondly.

Fortunately, the Omanis treasure their past and therefore abundant remains of ancient cities and local heritage can be admired. Adventure seekers will enjoy activities like desert driving, wadi bashing, diving and trekking. Other local attractions include a visit to the souk or the camel races, and are a perfect opportunity to mingle with the locals and get a taste of everyday Omani life.
